After several layoffs, Record eliminates Hora do Faro and Scheherazade from Sunday


After several layoffs carried out in recent days by Record, the broadcaster will remove Hora do Faro and Rachel Sheherazade from its Sunday programming

From 2025 onwards, Record will undergo significant changes to its schedule, after acquiring the broadcast rights to the Brazilian Championship. The main innovation will be the abandonment of traditional programs, such as Faro time AND Sunday record. The broadcaster is still deciding the future of Rodrigo Farowhich could continue with a new program format or end its 16-year run at home. Already Rachel Scheherazade, those who don’t have new projects on the channel could end up not having their contracts renewed.

DOMINGO DO TOM

According to columnist Gabriel Perline here at Contigo!, instead of Lighthouse, Tom Cavalcante will gain importance on Sunday with the third season of Hit or fallin addition to the possible return of the Tom’s show. The comedy, which was successful between 2004 and 2011, could have a triumphant return, with the proposal of a “Tom’s Sunday”bringing together different and fun images to attract the audience. Record is also planning a new program for Sunday afternoon, but has not yet revealed the details.

MORE FOOTBALL, LESS JOURNALISM

In addition to the news in entertainment, football will have a guaranteed space on Sunday afternoons, with the broadcast of Liga Forte UniĆ£o (LFU), which will feature teams such as Corinthians and Vasco. The time reserved for football will be from 6.00pm to 8.30pm, before the broadcast of the Spectacular Sundaywhich will be commanded by Roberto Cabrini AND Carolina Ferraz, with the departure of Register camera of the grill. The changes will also impact the journalism sector. The broadcaster is going through a series of layoffs and could reportedly lay off up to 150 professionals.
