The public security office of the State of San Paolo has announced a new security measure for the friendly between Brazil and Paraguay, which will take place at the new Chemistry Arena, Tuesday (June 10), at 21h45 (Brasilia time). From this game, it will be forbidden to wear fans’ football club shirts that go to the stadium, even if they have tickets in their hand.

The prohibition aims to avoid possible comparisons and confusion in the stands. As informed by the authorities, the determination is valid for the shirts of the Brazilian and foreign club. The measure had already been implemented previously in the game of the Brazilian women’s team against Japan, which was also held in San Paolo.

Fans who want to look at the game will be able to wear shirts of the teams involved in the duel, that is Brazil and Paraguay. In fact, this will be the only exception published by the authorities. Therefore, those who do not have a selection shirt can opt for other neutral clothes, provided they are not linked to football teams.

According to the organization of the event, the latest tickets will be made available later this Monday (June 9). The doors of the new Chemistry Arena will be open at 17:30 (Brasilia time), allowing early access to the public and finally avoiding agglomerations at the entrance.

This new guideline is inserted in the context of efforts to improve safety in selection events held in San Paolo. Although the measure can be surprised among fans, above all it aims to guarantee a more peaceful and safer environment during the games.

In short, the recommendation of the authorities is clear: to avoid setbacks in accessing the stadium, fans should put aside any identification of the club and opt for neutral or allusive clothing to the selections that will challenge each other in the friendly. After all, the priority is to preserve the order and allow a peaceful experience for all those present.
