Jon Bon Jovi comments on Bruce Springsteen film
First, however, Jon Bon Jovi made a point of watching the Bruce Springsteen biopic. In addition to praising the film in an interview with Sky Newshe also recalled the beginning of his career in New Jerseywhen he followed in the footsteps of The Boss:
“It’s really good. It’s set in 1982, when I was very much alive and wrote ‘Runaway’ that year. I played two blocks from where he (Springsteen) performed with that cover band every Sunday night. In fact, it competed with my performance, so we would literally close the bar and go there because we knew he was going to play there on Sunday night.”
Bon Jovi added:
“I mean, I lived it, and watching the movie sitting next to him (Springstten) in the theater made me punch him. We said it was like a time machine. A real time machine. Because, you know, he was part of all of our lives growing up in New Jersey, and represents what he meant or means to all of us.”
Bon Jovi in Brazil?
