The theft took place on May 30 and, at the time, the hypothesis was put forward that the criminals would have received inside information on the property from employees of the Carlinhos Maia. All contractors made statements, but none were arrested or indicted.
Employee participation was completely excluded following the confession of one of the arrested.

Despite not having been involved, days after the theft, all employees of Carlinhos Maia were fired. On Friday, 12, the same influencer said that the dismissal of people has nothing to do with the suspicion of the crime, but with future projects.
Eliabio Custódio Nepomuceno and Wellington Medeiros da Silva were arrested on 7 June and remain in prison in Maceió. Emerson de Holanda Lira was also arrested with them, obtaining the right to respond to the crime in freedom. The Civil Police did not disclose which of the detainees confessed to the crime.
