Paula Proença Castela Ribeiro, cousin of the singer Ana Castela, died this Thursday at the age of 35, 23 years old. The death was confirmed by close relatives, but the cause was not revealed.

Paula was pregnant and died a day after Ana Castela and other close relatives used social media to ask for blood donations in her name.

The singer reported that her cousin was in Cuiabá and showed a message she received from the city’s blood bank, saying that it received many donors after the artist requested them via social media. “She’s pregnant. So thank you to each of you,” Ana said.

Paula’s body will be buried and interred in the city of Cáceres, where she lived with her husband Tiago and daughter Lídia.

To date, Ana Castela has not yet commented on her cousin’s death.
