Singer Wanessa Camargo took advantage of a break from rehearsals to Celebrity dance (TVGlobo) to deny a controversy involving an international star. This week, journalist Fábia Oliveira claimed that the singer had had an affair with Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds when she was still married to businessman Marcus Buaiz. “I burst out laughing,” he said on social media this Wednesday the 29th.

According to the journalist, Zezé Di Camargo’s daughter remained with the American in the bathroom of a commercial flight. After learning of the news, Wanessa tried to deny the relationship. The artist took some time out of her schedule to clear up the confusion on her Instagram.

“I don’t usually talk a lot about gossip, no, but yesterday’s gossip was so bizarre! First I burst out laughing, because when I saw the news, I said, ‘Who is he?’. Then later I said, ‘Ah,’ because my kids love Imagine Dragons, so do I,” the singer began.

Wanessa also guaranteed that the alleged extramarital affair would not even have a chance of occurring in flight, as she is afraid of planes. “I’m so neurotic, I can’t even think, I just keep thinking about getting there alive,” she said.

“So surreal that I don’t even know the person, right? I would love to because my kids are fans, like I said, and I’m an Imagine Dragons fan too,” the singer added. The former BBB member was married to businessman Marcus Buaiz for 17 years, until divorcing in 2022. Together, the two are parents to José Marcus, 13, and João Francisco, 11.

After the scare, Wanessa says she found the voice embarrassing, even comical. “We hear some crazy things about ourselves, but this is so crazy that it’s funny. But it’s not funny when there’s a tone like that… I was married. I have two kids who are on social media, so it’s not that funny, right? But it’s crazy. Anyone who believes it, it’s surreal. It’s obviously a lie,” he pointed out.

The North American Dan Reynolds is 38 years old and has been single since the end of his marriage to Aja Volkman, in 2022. The last time the singer was in Brazil was in September 2024, for a performance by Imagine Dragons at Rock in Rio, in Rio de Janeiro.
