The outburst happened on Instagram. David Júnior shared an article in the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper with data on sexual violence and aggression against men, in which he points out that two out of ten men were abused when they were minors and added a comment on the subject from his personal point of view.

“I was sexually abused,” the actor wrote. “Talking men. The victim is not to blame for being sexually abused,” he added.

The confession drew many comments, from the affection of his wife, Yasmin Garcez – “I am proud to see you bring this debate here. I love you” – to colleague Milhem Cortaz, who also admitted he was mistreated as a child.

“I was also mistreated,” Cortaz said. David then replied, “I love you, brother! I miss you.”
