The “Friends” star “attacks” Keanu Reeves: “Why is he still walking among us?”

Actor Matthew Perry, who plays Chandler Bing in “Friends”, attacked Keanu Reeves for free in his autobiography, entitled “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing”, which will hit US bookstores on Friday 28th.

The “Friends” actor considered it absurd that Keanu Reeves was still alive when more talented actors than himself, such as River Phoenix, Heath Ledger and even Chris Farley, died of an overdose.

The first manifestation of his problem with Reeves came to light during a commentary on the death of River Phoenix, the brother of Joaquin, who by the way was a close friend of the “The Matrix” star. River died of an overdose in 1993 at the age of 23.

Perry starred opposite River Phoenix in the 1988 film “A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon”.

“River was a handsome man, inside and out – too good for this world, after all. It always seems like the really talented guys fall. Because original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us. ? ” Perry wrote.

He went back to quote Reeves the same way when he talked about Chris Farley’s death. “His illness progressed faster than mine. (Plus, I had a healthy fear of the word ‘heroin’, a fear we didn’t share.) I punched a hole in Jennifer Aniston’s locker room wall when I found out. [sua morte por overdose]. Keanu Reeves walks among us, “says the book.

Despite the attacks, Perry did not disclose the reason behind the criticism of Keanu.

The two have never worked together on any production, nor have they had a known quarrel. But such petty comments indicate that something may have happened between them, or that Perry at least knows something about Reeves that the world doesn’t know.

Matthew Perry also nearly died of an overdose, according to his book.
