The streamer broadcast the debut of the Brazilian team at the World Cup on his channel and broke a record
Streamer Casimiro broke the record for the most people who watched the live stream during the Brazilian team’s opening match at the World Cup. The broadcast reached a peak of 3.5 million people who watched the match between Brazil and Serbia last Thursday 24.
Previously, the most viewed live broadcast on the platform was that of Marília Mendonça. The broadcast that the singer made during the period of isolation in 2020 reached the threshold of 3.3 million simultaneous viewers.
Casimiro is the first streamer to broadcast a World Cup match live on his channel for free. The invitation for the production came from LiveMode in collaboration with FIFA. And, while the record number was on the ‘Cazé’ YouTube channel, the matches are also streamed on Twitch.
Since 2020, the streamer has been gaining space on digital platforms and has established himself as a big name in the category, with the highest number of subscribers on his Twitch profile. He won the “Personality of the Year” trophy at the E-Sports Brasil Awards and garners millions of views on his videos of him reacting to games, TV shows and other internet content.
