Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (“Black Adam”) bought all of his Snickers chocolates from a convenience store in his hometown of Hawaii. According to him, the purchase was a way to “correct a mistake” from his past.

“I’ve waited decades to do what I’m getting ready to do now,” Johnson explained in a video posted to his Instagram.

According to the actor, when he was a teenager he would go to that shop and steal a chocolate “every day”. He stole the chocolate because he didn’t have the money to pay for it and it was his “pre-workout food”.

“I did it for almost a year every day,” he said, adding that the employee at the time just turned his head when he saw him stealing. “I had to go back and buy all the Snickers bars off those shelves.”

While at the store, Johnson also footed bills for some customers who were in the store. His total purchase of him came to $298. In the end, he left the candy bars on the counter and instructed the bartender to give the chocolates to anyone who tried to steal a Snickers.

The actor explained that “we got evicted from Hawaii in 1987 and after all these years I finally came home to right that wrong” and that “after decades of wanting to go home to 7-Eleven and try to make some Well, that was very, very good.”

“We can’t change the past and some of the stupid things we could have done, but every once in a while we can add a little saving grace to that situation – and maybe put a big smile on some stranger’s face,” he concluded.

Johnson is now one of the highest paid actors working today, earning an estimated $20 million per film, according to Forbes magazine. I could buy a lot more Snickers.
