25 years in the frame: what Ekaterina Andreeva looked like at the start of her career as a TV presenter

Ekaterina Andreeva did not immediately make a career in television. In high school, the girl became seriously interested in basketball. She had been promised Olympic medals, but she chose a different path and after graduating entered the evening department of All-Union Correspondence Law School (now the State Law Academy of Moscow), while simultaneously working in the Prosecutor General’s Office. After graduating from law school, Andreeva decided to continue her studies – already at the Faculty of History of the Nadezhda Krupskaya Pedagogical Institute.

In 1990, 29-year-old Ekaterina decided to try her hand at the All-Union School of Announcers, despite being told by professionals that she was cold in the frame. However, the girl still had a chance.

The result was not long in coming. Already in 1991, Ekaterina was noticed: the aspiring TV presenter found herself in Ostankino. There, the image of the detached “snow queen” came to taste. For some time, Andreeva was the host of Good Morning, in 1995 – Novosti on ORT.

In 1997, Andreeva for the first time took part in the Vremya program as a presenter, where she replaced Arina Sharapova, who was on vacation, and a year later she became the permanent host of this program, which she directs to this day, and it is already 25 years old.
