The awards ceremony will take place this Sunday 5 February

This weekend, February 5th, the Grammys 2023. The award is considered the biggest in the music world and, this time around, it promises to be bigger than ever.




The list of nominees for the award arrives in November 2022. Among the main highlights are Anitta, as possible Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Beyoncéwith 10 nominations, Harry Stylesin seven categories, and the singer Taylor Swiftwhich won five nominations in this edition.

So, to get you in the mood, we’ve put together a list of five performers you need to know before the ceremony begins. Watch:

Bad bunny

The 12th most streamed artist in the world on Spotify, Bad Bunny is a singer, rapper and producer originally from Puerto Rico. His music has gone viral around the world and he currently has sold-out shows in Europe, Latin America and the United States.

His best known singles are “Soy Peor”, “Diles”, “Tu No Metes Cabra” and “Chambea”.

Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile was the most Grammy-nominated female artist of 2019. Now, four years later, she’s nominated in seven different categories. She is a singer-songwriter and has been cataloged in a variety of musical genres, including pop, rock, country, indie and folk.

Most recently, he collaborated with Sam Smith on the track “Party of One”.

Kendrick Lamar

One of the most acclaimed rap artists of his generation, Kendrick Lamar is the owner of 13 Grammys, a Pulitzer, multiple multi-platinum singles and albums. He also collects numerous successful collaborations, alongside the likes of Rihanna, The Weeknd, U2, BeyoncĂ©, Dr. Dre, Mary J Blige, SZA, Snoop Dogg, as well as collaborating on the soundtrack of Marvel’s “Black Panther” .

The rapper amasses more than 34 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is now the 54th most listened to artist worldwide on the platform.

Maneskins

If you’ve been following Rock in Rio, you must have been impressed by MĂĄneskin’s show. The Italian band debuted at the festival and proved to be one of the spearheads not only in programming, but also in the rock genre.

So, with hits popping up on TikTok, major award performances and, of course, festival appearances like Rock in Rio, MĂĄneskin are a phenomenon.

The British duo, made up of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, released two singles in 2021 that went viral on social media – mainly on TikTok. The hits “Chaise Longue” and “Wet Dream” have decreed the success of the two, together with the Grammy nomination and numerous invitations to festivals in Europe.

The girls are already opening shows for major artists from around the world, like Harry Styles, who even performed a cover of “Wet Dream” on a radio show.
