Ellie Goulding has been pictured sunbathing on board a luxury yacht alongside a friend on Friday, five months after giving birth to her daughter.
The 39-year-old singer relaxed in a skimpy black two-piece string bikini while soaking up the sun and topping up her tan. She lay back with her eyes closed on the deck, revealing the intricate tattoo on her ribcage.
The Burn hitmaker welcomed her baby girl with her partner, 28-year-old actor Beau Minniear, on March 6 at the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London. The famous private maternity ward has previously hosted royal births, including those of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Goulding later announced her daughter's arrival through a formal birth notice in The Times newspaper. The announcement read: "Minniear-Goulding: On 6th March 2026 to Ellie Goulding and Beau Minniear, a daughter, Iris Edaline."
The pop star is also mother to a five-year-old son, Arthur, from her previous marriage to art dealer Caspar Jopling.
Goulding was first romantically linked to Minniear in July 2025 before the couple went public with their relationship in September 2025.
Upcoming Album and Return to Music
The sun-soaked holiday comes as the English singer prepares for her long-awaited return to music with the release of her sixth studio album, titled I Know Too Much.
Scheduled for release on September 4, the 10-track record features the single Black Prada Dress, which Goulding performed live for the first time last month at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2026, an annual music festival held across the UK.
The hitmaker has previously described the record as a "divorce album," confirming that the tracks address her split from Jopling.
Reflecting on the album's themes, Goulding explained how the writing process helped her acknowledge the end of her marriage. "When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away and that will always stay with me," she said. "There are some songs that are necessary for me to acknowledge that time in my life and to be respectful of it..."
"Then there were some songs that were extremely reactionary and sad that I felt were good to do in the moment but don't serve me long-term," she added.
Speaking about the project, Goulding called it her most candid release. "It's probably the most honest song I've written," she said. "It is what it is. I know too much. It's tongue in cheek, but it's also some kind of comment on my life so far, and music."
She added: "I always like to write about love and heartbreak."
Divorce and Co-Parenting
Jopling and Goulding finalised their divorce in January 2025 and remain on good terms to co-parent their young son.
Jopling has since moved on with American actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde, 42. The couple were spotted enjoying a romantic Valentine's Day weekend together in Mexico City in February.
Goulding's upcoming studio album I Know Too Much will be released on September 4.
