Rita Lee was discharged and returned home this Saturday (3/4), after a short stay at the Israelite Albert Einstein Hospital, in Sao Paulo. Her husband, Roberto de Carvalho, posted a photo of the singer and celebrated with the caption “Home” (Home, in English).
The 75-year-old singer was hospitalized last week after sudden weight loss. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021, but she responded well to treatment and in April 2022, the family announced that she was in remission of the cancer. Around the same time, Rita Lee nicknamed her tumor “Jair.”
Roberto even reassured the fans during his new hospitalization. “It is known that there will always be monitoring tests and treatments to be carried out, which will eventually result in hospitalizations,” he warned.
