Sabrina Carpenter cancels show in Portland, USA after bomb threat

The presentation would have taken place on Monday 10, but could not take place due to security measures; the singer complained on social media

Singer Sabrina Carpenter23 years old, had to cancel a show which he would do at the Keller Auditorium, in the city of Portlandin the state of Oregon, in the United States, last Monday, 10.

The decision was made after the Crystal Ballroom, where he had previously scheduled the presentation, received a bomb threat.

According to a report of the Rolling stonethe show’s production company said the cancellation was “out of an abundance of caution” after a “credible threat” was made to the venue.

“Crystal Ballroom employees called us after receiving a call from an anonymous person who said they were going to blow up the venue,” Portland Police Department Lieutenant Nathan Sheppard told the magazine.

The change of location was done so that more people could attend the event. Even so, the singer and her team have decided to cancel the show due to safety concerns.

“Although the threat was not specifically directed at the Keller Auditorium, Sabrina and the event organizers agreed that, as a precaution, the show would be cancelled,” a representative from the production company told Rolling Stone. “Measures have been taken to ensure that the public leave the venue calmly, quickly and safely.”

After the situation, Portland police reported that they reinforced the police around the two auditoriums and nothing exploded.

On social media, Sabrina complained about the case and apologized to fans: “Portland – I can’t tell you how much this breaks my heart. This is the last thing I wanted to do, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we won’t be able to perform this evening”.

He further said that tickets are refundable and that his team will “do their best” to reschedule the show as soon as possible. “Please take care of yourself and come home safe. I’m so sorry. I love you,” she added.
