Leonardo DiCaprio’s cousin has been charged with fraud. The lawsuit alleges that he settled with a certain film company for more than $110,000, claiming that he could convince a star relative to appear in one of the films. According to The Times, 29-year-old Niklas In den Birken allegedly provided the film studio with false information that he was in talks with DiCaprio.
A production company in Munich, whose name was not disclosed, suggested that Leonardo DiCaprio could be called to testify. However, the actor is not yet on the list of witnesses. The trial will begin on May 5 in Munich.
Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, grew up in Los Angeles. However, he has relatives with German ancestry on both sides of the family. Although, he reportedly has little contact with his family from those parts. Leonardo has not yet commented on the situation.
