After the controversy over an alleged infidelity of Andy Ruiz Jr. to his former partner with Mayeli Alonso, now the boxer faces a new controversy after Julia Lemus acquired a ‘temporary ban’ after accusing him of ‘domestic violence’.
According to TMZ Sports, Lemus filed the restraining order on April 6 in San Diego, California. As he stated before the authorities, the athlete “He abused me sexually, physically and psychologicallymaking me feel like I have to walk on eggshells around him” during their relationship.
Julia also accused Ruiz of “physically and emotionally abused his two children”the news portal reported.
The restraining order specifies that the heavyweight champion cannot come closer than 100 yards to his former partner and is also prohibited from possessing firearms. In addition, the court ordered Lemus to retain custody of his two children, at least until a hearing scheduled for Monday, April 24.

Physical attacks included firearms
Lemus also recounts some instances of alleged abuse and explains that the physical abuse began in 2019 by the 33-year-old boxer, after his fight with boxer Anthony Joshua.
“He started grabbing my arms and physically pulling me to move where he wanted,” Julia describes. She added that Andy began hitting her “playfully” on her limbs, leaving scars, and attached photos of the alleged injuries, TMZ Sports reported.

The boxer pointed out that in February 2020 Julia ‘stabbed him with a knife’ and attached photographs as evidence of the alleged injuries she left him.
He also said that in April of that year his ex-partner “came into my hotel room with a loaded gun in hand and shouted, “Everybody get out of here.” She said she attacked “one of her friends in the head with the gun during the fight and then broke the furniture in the room,” TMZ reported.
Andy Ruiz also said his ex slapped and hit him “on multiple occasions” and ” I never once participated in a physical response to Julia’s aggression,” he said.
Jewelry theft report
In the document presented by Andy Ruiz Jr., he also accuses the mother of his children of having stole $250,000 worth of jewelry last March, which he reported to San Diego authorities.
The controversy with Mayeli Alonso
In March, Julia Lemus accused Mayeli Alonso of being the third party in a row in her relationship with the boxer, a charge the businesswoman denied.
On the 31st of the same month, Andy Ruiz released a statement clarifying that he was done with Lemus when he “reopened his heart”.
On April 2, Julia reacted on her Instagram account and explained that “ For legal reasons I am not allowed to give you a statement right now or make any comment’ and added ‘Thank you for your support, love and interest.’
