Jon Bon Jovi has commented on the engagement of his 20-year-old son, Jake Bongiovi, to actress Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things”), who turned 19 in February this year. During an appearance on SiriusXM radio’s “Andy Cohen Live,” the rocker defended the young couple’s union. “I don’t know if age matters,” he stressed.
The host of the show brought the information that Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley were dating when they were still in high school, much younger than the current couple. “You know, if you guys find the right partner and grow together, I think that would really be my advice, growing up together is wise,” the singer commented.
He also spared no praise for his daughter-in-law, known for her role as Eleven in ‘Stranger Things’ (2016). “Millie is wonderful,” she said. “Her whole family is amazing. Jake is very, very happy.”
Together for over 34 years, the couple have four children. Jake Bongiovi is the brother of Romeo Jon Bongiovi, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi and Jesse Bongiovi. Still with few activities on his curriculum, the young man works as a model and actor. He has already made a guest appearance in “Stranger Things”, briefly alongside his girlfriend.
Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown announced their engagement to the public last month. The actress posted an image of her hugging her boyfriend, while showing off a diamond ring on her ring finger. In the caption, Millie quoted an excerpt from Taylor Swift’s song “Lover.” “I’ve loved you for three summers now honey, I want ’em all [Três verões te amando, querido, agora quero todos eles]”, he wrote.
