Justice granted the protective measure requested by Tati Zaqui against her ex boyfriend Thomaz Costa this Friday (19/5). The order was awarded after the singer filed a police complaint accusing him of domestic and psychological violence, bodily harm, menacing and property damage.
According to information obtained by columnist Leo Dias, the request was accepted by the 1st Criminal Court of the Region of São Caetano do Sul, through the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo. The decision establishes that Thomaz Costa maintains a minimum distance of 500 meters from the singer.
“I therefore understand the necessary measures to prohibit contact by any means between the accused and the victim, as well as the order to respect the distance of 500m between them, in particular the residence and place of work of the victim. defense on granting of protection measures, within the period of five days, if desired”, underlines the court decision.
Justice has also instructed the singer to immediately call the police in case of non-compliance with the protection measure. Thomaz Costa could be arrested if he disobeys the decision.
The complaint of domestic violence was registered on Thursday (18/5) at a police station in São Caetano do Sul. The singer described to the authorities a violent relationship, with physical assaults, possessive behavior and threats. He has reported several incidents of jealousy, psychological abuse, physical assault, verbal abuse and damage.
In the incident report, Tati Zaqui reports that Thomaz Costa began exhibiting possessive behaviors from November 2022, with excessive displays of jealousy that evolved into a specific episode of violence, when he tried to leave the actor’s apartment.
According to the funk singer’s statement, Thomaz held her arms tightly, preventing her from leaving, and the situation only calmed down after she called her mother. Tati also said that, even after episodes of assault, they resumed their relationship due to promises to change behavior made by Thomaz.
The actor also sought professional help, such as therapy, but exacerbated jealousy and verbal and physical violence persisted, as recorded by Tati Zaqui to the authorities. According to her, among the actor’s verbal insults were: “You are worse than a whore” and “You are worse than the devil.” Additionally, you mentioned “physical aggression with grips, kicks and pecking”.
