“There are still sick people”: Marion Cotillard spoke about harassment in Hollywood

Actress Marion Cotillard presented the film “Little Girl in Blue” at the Cannes Film Festival. During the press conference, the lead actress noted that the theme of the film is very close to her. According to Marion, many women have gone through “similar relationships with men.”

My mother and grandmother, like many others, went through difficult relationships with men and sexual harassment. I was very touched by this work, because this is the path to healing, said Cotillard.

The actress also commented on the #MeToo movement. It aims to support women who have experienced harassment. Marion stressed that there are still situations in the film industry when young actresses or actors become victims of violence.

I’ve been an actress for a long time and I’ve been put in situations I shouldn’t have been in. Until now, there are sick men, and sometimes women, who use novice actors. They take advantage of the passion that we have as actors, and the fact that we depend on the desires of directors, producers,” said Cotillard.

The actress noted that the #MeToo movement still has work to do. However, the star believes that progress is already very noticeable.
