Activists blocked the A12 motorway in the city center in the afternoon, marking the seventh time the group has staged such a protest at the same location. According to the police, “in total, 1,579 people were arrested, 40 of whom are on trial.”

According to an XR representative, some 7,000 people attended the rally. Security forces reported that one of the activists bit an officer while arresting him.
