Actor Leandro De Niro Rodriguez (“A Star Is Born”), nephew of the famous Robert De Niro (“The Irishman”), died at the age of 19 last Sunday (2/7). According to the American site TMZ, he was found dead by a friend in his apartment in New York City, in the United States. Although the circumstance has not been confirmed by the authorities, the tabloid indicates a possible overdose as the cause.
The information reveals that Leandro’s friend hadn’t heard from him for days, which led him to go to the apartment. At the scene, the 19-year-old was found sitting in a chair with drugs next to his body. According to TMZ, the police are conducting an investigation.
In the face of tragedy, Robert De Niro released a statement on Monday (3/6) mourning the loss of his grandson. “I am deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved nephew Leo. We greatly appreciate everyone’s condolences. We ask that we be given privacy to mourn our loss of Leo,” he told the press.

I wanted to be with you now. I wish I was with you,” she wrote.
