The actor Kayky Brito He has been removed from sedation and is now breathing without the help of mechanical ventilation, according to a medical bulletin released by the Copa D’Or Hospital in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday 13th.
The artist, 34 years old, was hit in the early hours of September 2, in Barra da Tijuca, in the west of the city, and suffered multiple traumas, that is, multiple injuries that occurred simultaneously in more than one organ or system of organs of the body following trauma.
The hospital also states that Kayky has shown clinical improvement, as already reported in previous bulletins, and “will still remain in intensive care”.
Shortly after the accident, the actor was taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon. He was then transferred to the Copa D’Or hospital, where, on September 4, he underwent surgery to repair a fracture of his pelvis and right arm.
Since then he has remained hospitalized in serious condition and under observation by doctors. Kayky was hit by an app driver, accompanied by a woman and her 10-year-old daughter.
The man helped the actor and took a blood alcohol test, which came back negative. Recently, the driver raised funds of R $ 178,000 to pay for the repair of the car involved in the accident and personal expenses during the period in which he was unable to work.
