The English club has decided to reinstate the Brazilian player, investigated for assaults against DJ Gabriela Cavallin

The Brazilian player Antony was reinstated in Manchester United training this Saturday, the 30th, after being removed from the English club due to allegations of assault against DJ Gabriela Cavallin. The attacker arrived at the CT of Red devils accompanied by his ex-wife and mother of his child, Rosilenny Batista, which sparked speculation about a possible reconciliation between the couple.

On his social networks, Antony posted an account of Carrington’s arrival at CT, along with Rosilenny and her three-year-old son Lorenzo. In the caption, the player celebrated his reintegration into the club: “It’s good to be back,” he wrote.

Speculated since last year, the possible reconciliation between the couple comes after Gabriela Cavallin’s assault allegations came to light. Rosilenny, in fact, is the player’s witness in the investigation underway in Sao Paulo. She must also testify on Antonio’s behalf in England.

They hinted at a return last April when they both posted photos with matching rings. In a post on social media, Rosilenny appears with her son on the seat of a limousine, showing a rose and a ring. Antony, however, in a photo shoot created for “GQ Turkey”, appeared with the ring on the index finger of his left hand.

Assault charges and dismissal from Manchester United

Manchester United announced on the morning of Friday 29th that striker Antony, accused of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, was reinstated in the team for having collaborated in the investigation of the case.

According to the Red Devils’ official statement, the Brazilian winger “has collaborated with police investigations in Brazil and the United Kingdom, and continues to do so”. The player, therefore, was ‘considered’ to have returned not only to the team’s training sessions, but is also free to be involved in the team’s next commitments.

Antony’s release, according to United, however, still depends on the development of the investigations. The British are following the case closely and would have no problem removing the attacker again, depending on the direction the case takes. The Manchester team has also strengthened its position against all types of violence and abuse.

Antony is accused of having assaulted – verbally and physically – his ex-girlfriend DJ Gabriela Cavallin, as well as being accused of the same crime by two other women, who filed a complaint even after the investigation was opened. Away from Manchester United’s activities since 11 September, the athlete was also withdrawn from the Brazilian team for the first two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup and was not called up for the following two matches.
