Police investigation
Although he was not initially accused by the delegate Ângelo Lages, in charge of the investigation, Bruno de Luca was filmed by security cameras at the time of the incident in front of a kiosk on the beach, the place where he was drinking with Kayky. The images show De Luca with his hands on his head, however, walking away from the place without providing any help to his friend, without even worrying about his health conditions.

According to Rodrigo Brocchi, De Luca’s lawyer, several people were already helping Brito, even calling the firefighters, strengthening the defense that his client did not fail to provide assistance.

Actor Kayky Brito was hit in the early hours of September 2, when he crossed an avenue in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, without looking. He had polytrauma and traumatic brain injury. Initially treated at the Miguel Couto hospital, the actor was transferred to the Copa D’Or and was discharged on September 29.
