In preparation for his return to Telethon, host Celso Portiolli spoke about his bladder cancer treatment and reflected on how the diagnosis has affected his life.
“When we feel a health problem, everything changes. Our vision of life changes, our vision of solidarity changes. We begin to see that life is a breath,” he said in an interview with TV Fama.

Diagnosed in 2021, the presenter of Domingo Legal was unable to participate in person in the marathon in aid of the Association for the Assistance of Disabled Children. Celso Portiolli continues preventive treatment against cancer
Celso Portiolli revealed at the end of 2022 that he had started a new medical treatment to prevent another cancer. “I’ll be on treatment until next year. Every three months I’ll have treatment and continue until next year, but it’s super simple. It’s just preventative, I don’t have anything else. I’m super healthy, I know “I don’t have any problems. It’s a preventative treatment to boost my body’s immune defenses, that’s all,” he said.
Recalling the diagnosis and surgery he faced in December 2021, Portiolli underlined the importance of early diagnosis. “Thank God I found it early, which is very important. We have to take care of ourselves, do routine exams for this reason. In December it was calm, I did the surgery well.
