The CBF would have filed three lawsuits against Felipe Neto: “He cannot be defined as corrupt”

After the recent defeat of Botafogo, Felipe Neto did not hide his non-conformism

YouTuber Felipe Neto, an ardent Botafogo fan, has reportedly become the target of three lawsuits brought by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) due to his frustration with refereeing and unrestricted support for the team. The information was revealed by columnist Rodrigo Mattos, adding that the third action would be decided this Thursday the 2nd.

The controversial outbreak

After Botafogo’s recent defeat on Wednesday evening, 1, with a score of 4 to 3 against Palmeiras, Felipe Neto did not hide his disagreement.

“The CBF is a corrupt, criminal and spiteful entity!” exclaimed the YouTuber, reiterating his dissatisfaction with the management of Brazilian football. The perception of the referee’s interference in the match’s dubious moves intensified the displeasure, already expressed in Botafogo’s defeat against Cuiabá, when he said that the CBF was “dirty, corrupt and bad”.

Faced with the possibility of a lawsuit, Felipe Neto resorted to sarcastic humor to mock the new lawsuit. “CBF is angry because it is called a corrupt entity. It cannot be called corrupt. Its history is one of honesty and good work, everyone loves CBF in Brazil, it can never be called corrupt,” he posted on his Twitter account .

And he has published multiple posts on the topic. “CBF: the corrupt entity that has decided to criminally prosecute anyone who claims to be a corrupt entity,” she added in one of them.

Corruption in the CBF

It is worth mentioning that corruption in the CBF has already been the subject of a series, “Corruption Game”, as the second season of “El Presidente” was renamed, on Prime Video, especially for Brazil. Between 2012 and 2018, three CBF presidents were banned from football for corruption. Subsequently, in 2021, another president was removed after reporting sexual harassment by an employee of the entity.

The current president of the entity, Ednaldo Rodrigues, has not commented on the matter, but it is expected that the CBF will express itself at the next Conmebol congress, underlining the absence of scandals in the entity for two impressive years.

“If the case against the CBF comes, I will dedicate all my networks to denouncing all cases of corruption of the entity. There will be many stories to tell,” warned Felipe Neto. “Do you think I’m afraid of criminal prosecution? I’ve been accused of far worse things by far more powerful people.”
