The matching form of Ricky Martin’s nephew
Last May, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin, Ricky Martin’s nephew, sued the artist for $10 million in damages for allegedly committing “non-consensual sexual conduct” against him since he was 11 years old.
This is how Sánchez Martín responded to the civil lawsuit filed by his uncle in September 2022 for extortion, malicious prosecution, abuse of law, compensation.
The counterclaim, filed in San Juan District Court, details a series of alleged non-consensual sexual encounters between the singer and Sanchez Martin.
Many of these alleged sexual encounters were included in the eviction protection order granted to the nephew in July 2022 and later filed at Sánchez Martin’s own request.
Some of that allegedly took place in the artist’s car when he was looking for his nephew at Sotero Figueroa High School in San Juan, according to the counterclaim.
The court document states that Ricky Martin “stalked” the minor, taking him to various locations in San Juan without leaving the vehicle and to secluded locations to “perform oral and genital sex.”
“The non-consensual sexual relations continued after high school and during the years that plaintiff herein Sánchez Martín was under twenty-one (21) years of age. In the following years, telephone and social media communications between the parties intensified,” it details.
The counterclaim further alleges that “one year prior to filing an application for an order of protection under the Domestic Violence Act with the Court, Plaintiff Sánchez Martin continuously warned Ricky Martin that he felt stalked and asked him to stop his actions.”
Ignoring the allegations, Sánchez Martin chose to file a civil suit for a protective order.
The legal battles between the singer and his nephew began in July 2022, when Sánchez Martin was granted the aforementioned protection order against his uncle, which was later filed.
The Justice then granted Enrique Martin Morales, the first name of the singer, a stalking protection order against his nephew, which was extended for one year in November 2022.
