Silvia Pinal is in intensive care at a hospital in Mexico City, Mexican media reports.
The 92-year-old actress was admitted for respiratory problems, journalist María Luisa Valdez reported on the evening of December 26 in X.
“Today Alejandra Guzmán went to see her, they took off the mask they put on her to breathe and today she was able to sit on a toilet,” Valdez reported.
Some versions state that Silvia Pinal was admitted to the hospital on December 22, however, Gustavo Adolfo Infante states that the actress was hospitalized on December 21.
Juan José Origel, journalist and friend of the matriarch of the Pinal dynasty, assured that the actress “suffers from the flu”.
“I just talked to Silvita and the lady has the flu, but she’s fine, it’s not bad, so it’s nothing to worry about. Silvia Pinal has the flu, but that’s it,” he said in a video posted. on Instagram.
The producer’s health condition was reported to be stable as of Tuesday night.

This is the second time Silvia Pinal is spending Christmas in hospital with breathing problems. In 2021 he was hospitalized due to complications from Covid-19.
Last year, the actress was also confined over the Christmas holidays, with her spending time in bed at home due to flu.

Silvia Pinal had a recent relapse
Last July, Silvia Pinal had to be treated by a doctor after her health relapsed. His personal assistant, Eugenia Ramos, revealed the reason.
“Sometimes she shows some variations because of her age (…) We have to call the doctor to check her,” he explained in statements presented by “Ventaneando” on July 6.
Ramos shared what the specialist, Eduardo de Jesus Jaro, told them after the check-up and stated that the “Viridiana” star has shown signs of recovery.
“He adjusted his treatment a little bit more because sometimes I think sometimes the body can’t handle a lot of medicine. “I was already better, it was like a little disappointment,” he said.
