Man arrested outside Taylor Swift’s apartment after alleged break-in attempt


The NYPD received a report of a “disorderly person” at the scene; Witnesses claim to have seen him while he tried to enter the singer’s building

A man was arrested in front of the singer’s apartment Taylor Swift in New York, in the United States, this Saturday, 20. A representative of the city’s police department informed the site Page Six that they had received a report regarding a “disorderly person” at the location.

“Upon arrival, [a polícia] was informed that the individual attempted to open the door of a building,” he said. Although authorities have not confirmed whether the building the man attempted to enter was the artist’s, eyewitnesses have reported to the vehicle that he had seen him at the door of the location.

“I saw him for the first time around 1 pm [no horário local] – went to Taylor’s door. I’m not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell,” one person said. A second source told the site they had seen the man “lurking” for more than a month.



He reportedly “slept on the porch, smoked constantly, shouted, and generally made everyone uncomfortable.” A neighbor of the singer reported that the man had even said that he wanted to see the singer. “At one point he even had flowers,” he said.

This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has been the victim of an alleged stalker. In 2018, a 22-year-old man broke into the singer’s apartment while she was not home. Police found him sleeping and he was arrested and charged with stalking, robbery, criminal mischief and trespassing.
