Preta Gil she responded to a follower who criticized her scars in an Instagram post. In the photo, the singer was in a bikini and enjoying the carnival.

The artist exposed the internet user’s commentary in his stories. “There’s no need to show it. Put on a bathing suit,” she said.

In response, Preta defended herself: “I’m not going to hide, love. So shut up. Now, seriously: I’m not ashamed of my scars. […] I will live, I will have this scar for the rest of my life. Will I stop posting bikini photos? There is no condition.”

The singer also said that she is a survivor and that the brands criticized by the Instagram user are a symbol of her fight against cancer.

He also shared a positive comment. “You are an inspiration to thousands of women,” one follower said. “Now I have shared a comment that is important to me,” responded Gilberto Gil’s daughter.

She was diagnosed with Preta Gil bowel cancer early last year. After surgery to reconstruct part of the intestinal tract and oncological treatment, the disease went into remission.
