Galilea Montijo recalls the “terrible pain” she went through when she was linked to a fake intimate video

Galilea Montijo recalled in the Netas Divinas program the personal and professional consequences she faced in 2007 after being linked to a fake intimate video.

What did Galilea Montijo say about the alleged video?

In celebration of Women’s Day, the program hosted by Paola Rojas, Daniela Magún, Natalia Téllez and Galilea Montijo had as a guest the Mexican activist Olimpia Coral Melo, who promoted the creation of the anti-cyberphobia law, the Olympia Law.

In the show of March 6, Galilea Montijo talked about the difficult situation she went through more than 15 years ago, when she was accused of appearing in a recording of a sexual nature.

“A video of ‘Galilea and her porn’ started circulating and it was really a terrible pain,” he said.

The 50-year-old actress also pointed out that the recording was confusing because “you open the video and it’s like, ‘yeah, I look like her.’

She recalled that, as a result of the controversy, “a lot of business, a lot of things, fell apart at the time,” although it later turned out that she wasn’t the one who recorded.

“My tattoos at the time were what saved me and if it was me I’d say ‘yeah, but you’re not allowed to show it,'” he said.

Daniela Magun expressed her solidarity and condemned the work situation that the host of the Hoy program went through, but even more so from the personal side. The singer asked her partner how he managed to overcome such a moment.

“If there’s one thing that keeps me here, it’s the affection of the people who know me and love me and I’m not going to allow someone who doesn’t know me to talk bad about me, that doesn’t define me,” Montijo replied.

The presenter pointed out that the criticism that exists constantly through the Internet and social networks becomes more complicated when there are already children who have access to this information.
