The ‘Molejão’ singer is hospitalized for treatment for groin cancer
Anderson Leonardo, singer of the group Molejo, is hospitalized in serious condition at the Unimed-Rio Hospital, located in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio, and the band members went to the program Meeting with Patricia Poetaon the morning of Wednesday 27th, and shared information on the artist’s state of health.
Andrezinho detailed Anderson’s battle for life: “‘He always wants to fight, he really wants to live, he fights a lot. We are all with him in this chain. We try to make it work and be well. Everyone. You have to be strong, right ?” he explained.
Anderson was admitted to hospital in the early hours of Monday 25th, having been discharged on the 19th. He was diagnosed with cancer in the groin region in October 2022 and has since undergone procedures to treat the disease.
Andrezinho also reported moments where Anderson demonstrated his determination and humor, despite his condition. “He woke up, sang, talked to people. But then he was sedated again because he was very agitated, to calm him down. But the doctors said there might be a glimmer of hope that he could return.”

The groin cancer, which affects the singer’s penis and anal region, was discovered in October 2022. Anderson’s disease was in remission in January last year. In May 2023 she resumed treatment.
