The news caused an uproar, since the actress is 55 years old, just turned in January and is 30 years older than the ‘influencer’.
Alina Lozano Explains How She Got ‘Pregnant’
Just days after announcing they were having a baby, Alina Lozano revealed that she and Jim Velásquez have come under fire.
“We’ve been told … they think we’re stupid, stupid, that a menopausal woman can’t get pregnant,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram on April 6 with her husband.
Because of this, the star of soap operas such as “Pedro, El Escamoso” decided to explain to Internet users “how the process was” so that, even with menopause, “she could get pregnant.”
“How do you think that’s possible? Of course it’s very difficult because the eggs don’t exist anymore,” he said at the beginning of his argument.
“But with egg donation, assisted reproduction and (and) fertilization it’s not just a little bit possible, it’s absolutely possible and millions of women around the world are doing it,” she added.
The artist pointed out that resorting to these methods requires “a little saving” of money, as well as “patience” and “managing the carousel of emotions.”
“It’s a challenging process, but here (we) already shared the last (pregnancy) test, the third, which was positive,” he said.
Lozano confessed that she aspires for “everything to go well”: “I want to motivate all women who want to become mothers at this age and who did not freeze (their eggs).

Aside from how she got “pregnant,” Alina Lozano also responded to those who have judged her for her decision to become a mother.
“Look at this ‘pearl’ with which they greeted me today: ‘Ash, ridiculous old woman, she will have a son. Old lady, how ridiculous,” she said in an excerpt posted to her stories.
“I shared it ‘live’ because what this kind of hate, or this kind of labeling, makes interesting arguments to talk about it, right?” he stated.
“And to talk about what it’s like to be a mother at any age and discrimination because I’m an older woman,” she added.
Lozano has been under fire since it was revealed that she had an affair with Jim Velasquez, who is younger than her. However, on more than one occasion he has defended his decisions.
They got married in November 2023, in a wedding held at Hacienda Montecano, located on the outskirts of Bogota, Colombia, in front of their loved ones.
