Guilherme Isnardthe singer and creator of the band Zerospoke in a podcast interview Chat with Cle What Renato Russo I liked drinking with the homeless.
During the conversation with the presenter Clemente Magalhães, Guilherme told some stories about the singer and composer of the band Urban Legion. “Renato left the studio and went drinking with a family of beggars,” said the Zero singer.
According to Guilherme, when Renato woke up with the homeless, he took them to breakfast at the hotel where he was staying. “In the morning, at dawn, in the middle of the street, he took all the beggars and took them to the hotel to have breakfast,” he added.
During the conversation, which also touched on other topics, the composer spoke a little more about Renato. “Renato had several inner demons,” he said. He remembered an invitation he received from the leader of the Legião Urbana for his birthday party, which would be his last. “He said: ‘It will be a children’s party because I’m not feeling very well.'”
However, according to Guilherme, Renato would sometimes enter the bathroom and come out smelling of alcohol.
