Richard Simmons, the legendary fitness gurudied at age 76, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed on July 13.

Emergency services went to the athlete’s home after a 911 call was made by his housekeeper, who found Simmons dead.

According to early reports, it appeared that Richard had died of natural causes and no foul play was suspected.

However, hours later, police confirmed to TMZ that the TV star “Fell in the bathroom of the house”for which “the LAPD’s elite Homicide and Robbery unit went to his house because it’s a high-profile death,” but there’s no line-changing evidence to suggest it could have been a crime.

Who was Richard Simmons?

His real name was Milton Teagle Simmons, he was a American fitness guru, actor and television personality. He was born on July 12, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

His legacy includes 65 training videos that have sold more than 20 million copies and nine books.
