Victoria Ruffo and Eugenio Derbez finally reunited, after more than two decades of conflict, on the birth of their granddaughter, Tessa, on Sunday, June 30.
It was the comedian who revealed the details of the meeting that took place with the actress in the hospital after the birth of Paola Dalay, partner of José Eduardo Derbez.
“We embraced each other,” he said in an interview with “De Primera Mano” on July 1. “She said ‘congratulations, grandpa’ and I said ‘congratulations, grandma’ … until then we didn’t exchange many words.”

After learning what happened, Victoria Ruffo recently spoke about the moments she shared with Eugenio Derbez.
“Of course, as it should be! Educated and civilized people,” he commented in a statement broadcast by “Venga la joy” on July 3.
“We are here to celebrate a new life, a new life in the family and we don’t need to fight, instead there should be solidarity,” he added.
