Slash announces stepdaughter’s ‘devastating’ death aged 25: leaves cryptic message

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash announced the death of his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, this Monday, July 22.

The famous British musician issued a statement through his Instagram account in which he addressed what happened.

“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angels of California. on July 19, 2024,” it says.

“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, adorable and sweet soul,” the text adds.

The family did not share details of the death, but asked for privacy at this painful time and that “speculation on social media will be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

Slash rekindled his relationship with Hodges in 2015, after years of separation after they first became a couple in 1989, becoming the late young woman’s stepfather.

The strange message from Slash’s stepdaughter

Hours after Slash announced the news, a message was posted on the official profile of the digital platform Lucy-Bleu Knight.

“Whether I made you feel left out, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your job from the comfort of my parents’ financial support, or drowned out real issues in toxic positivity, I’m sorry,” it reads.

“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly large ego, an insecure heart, and the fear of being vulnerable,” she adds.

“May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job of being Lucy-Bleu. Peace,” concludes the letter, which is accompanied by a pink tulip emoji.

The “post” includes a photo of the “influencer,” who, according to the Daily Mail, worked in the talent department of recording studio Electric Lady Studios.

Slash cancels tour dates

Hours before revealing what happened, Slash canceled some shows on his ‘tour’, which is currently believed to be due to his grieving process.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the ‘Serpent’ tour unfortunately has to cancel the shows listed below. Refunds will be offered at points of purchase,” it said.

The “shows”, he pointed out, will resume in Toronto, Canada, on July 28: “We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

After going public with his grief, the composer started receiving support from his fans and friends in the industry.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea commented: “Oh God bless you,” while Violet Grohl, daughter of Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, said: “My heart aches for you. All the love right now.”
