Suri’s early college years attracted media attention, not only because she was the daughter of celebrities, but also because of the high cost of her education. Carnegie Mellon, known for its high academic standards, charges a significant amount for the academic year. According to the institution’s website, the semester value is about 87 thousand dollars, equivalent to about R$ 477 thousand.

For the academic year September 2024 to March 2025, the total cost for a first-year student at Carnegie Mellon is $86,812. This amount covers tuition of $64,596, as well as housing costs ($10,816), food ($7,350), and various other fees, such as the First Year Experience Fee ($610), Technology Fee ($470), Student Activities Fee ($308), and Transportation Fee ($262).

Additionally, there are estimates of additional costs, including books, course materials and equipment ($1,000), miscellaneous personal expenses ($1,300), and loan fees ($100).
