After 40 years in his homeland and many successful programs, the director of “BBB” announced the end of his contract with the broadcaster this Friday (13). In an official statement, Boninho said he wanted to retire in his homeland, but that, at the age of 62, he felt motivated to take on the new challenges that arose.
“I am still crazy about doing television and excited about the possibilities that lie in my future. So, despite having received Globo’s loving proposal to continue together, I decided to move in new directions, with challenges that the position I was in did not always allow me to take on. A decision that Globo welcomed with kindness, as our relationship has always been. Ah, TV Globo, I love you so much”, he began, adding:
“Continue to be this powerhouse of talent, courage, innovation, success. I don’t even know what BIG Boss will be like without you, but I’m excited to find out. I’m still a viewer and a fan.
