Eugenio Derbez admits he has not been able to overcome addiction: “I feel sad”

Eugenio Derbez is enjoying success thanks to the films, series and reality shows he has been part of, but amidst his professional triumphs the actor found himself “sad”.

Derbez confessed, on the show “The minute that changed my fate: uncensored”, that an addiction prevents him from having full happiness at the age of 63.

Derbez admits to having a workaholic

Victoria Ruffo’s ex admitted that work has become an addiction, “I don’t have free time and suddenly when you look ahead you feel like a slave to your work, because you see that everyone is going on vacation, you see that someone is enjoying themselves there or they are going to a party and you know you have to to sleep early because you have a phone,” he said with Gustavo Adolfo Infante on the September 21 show.

Eugene revealed that this situation makes him feel “exhausted” and “often sad”, which is why he wants to change his situation.

“I want to slow down now, I want to have a little more balance, I want to have a little more personal time,” he said.

Eugenio Derbez does everything to be with Alessandra Rosaldo and her daughter

The actor maintains an accelerated pace of work, however, he assures that he is “doing and undoing” so that he can spend time with his wife, Alessandra Rosaldo, and daughter Aytana.

“I do and break to be with Ale and Aitana at least, suddenly, I swear, there are times when you have to take the road and a plane and it is more traveling than what you are at home: 6 hours, but I. know that 6 hours for my daughter is very important and I do it, but you get tired,” he explained.

Have you been in therapy to overcome your work addiction?

Eugenio Derbez wants to give more balance to his personal and professional life, but until now he has not done therapy to deal with the issue.

“Ale and I have been in therapy many times, before we got married, I didn’t want to get married, I didn’t want to have kids, I remember we were in therapy to try to work it out. I’ve had some treatments but never for me or for this workaholic problem I have,” she recalls.

Finally, the comedian thought about taking action on this problem. “I have to take care of it because the level of work I have is great, I like the successes I’ve had, but on a personal level I feel like I’m missing it, I’m sad a lot of times because I’m missing that.”
