At the film’s press conference I’m still herefrom Globoplay, Fernanda Torres asked people not to feel “frustrated” if the film doesn’t get nominated for an Oscar in 2025.
“I didn’t want people to get frustrated in the end. When it comes to the mother’s award, I try to explain that when a Brazilian actor, who speaks Portuguese, is nominated, he has already won,” he began.
“You can pop the champagne. Go there (the Oscars) with no expectations because it won’t win. Just explain it so people can be happy,” he said.
The actress also spoke about the success of the film in other countries:
“For us, the film is already an event. It is already a door to the world. It is important for many reasons, but it is not the average of everything”, pointed.
