If you are aware of the recommendations from the series from Pure peopleyou know it’Love in the big city‘ was one of the the most anticipated drama premieres of October. Well, the series arrived last Monday (21st), onwards Vikiand it’s already making waves around the world.

“Love In The Big City” follows the story of Go Young (Nam Yoon-su), a young gay man who starts living with his friend Mi Ae (Lee Soo Kyung), in a kitnet in Seoul, South Korea, due to his problematic relationship with his mother, who does not accept his sexual orientation.

Between love and lots of fun in an LGBT+ club in the city, she meets Gyu Ho (Jin Ho-eun), with whom he falls in love, but ends up suffering a lot when he goes through a painful separation. The young man then embarks on a trip to Thailand with a stranger, where he will embark on a new phase of self-discovery.

With 8 episodes of approximately 50 minutes, ‘Love In The Big City’ is a BL Drama (Boys Love) of modern issues, which are worth watching. The Viki series has gained a very solid audience, however it has been full of controversy, including protests and bullying.

Despite the progress of the Boys Love series around the world, especially in Thailandwhich today is the largest producer and exporter, we know that South Korea is still an extremely conservative country. Therefore, not everything about ‘Love In The Big City’ is viewed favorably there.
