Thalía Manrique Castillo, singer of “Hermanos Guerrero”, died at the age of 27 after being injured in a violent attack.
The Peruvian team itself reported, first of all, on the morning of November 3 about the aggression of which they were victims.
“After the event in San Martín de Porres, Bagua, an attack took place in our group in which our singer Thalía was seriously injured,” they wrote on Facebook.
Hours later they announced the death of the young performer: “Your face, your smile and your voice will always remain in our memory.”
What happened to Thalía Manrique from “Hermanos Guerrero”?
According to La República, “Hermanos Guerrero” was presented on the night of November 2 in San Martín de Porres, in the city of Bagua Grande, Peru.
On their way back, in a bus, while traveling on the Ñunya Jalca highway to Chiclayo, they were intercepted by six armed men around 5 am.
One of the band members, Ingrid, reported that criminals took their money and musical instruments.
“We were lying on the floor of the bus, a man got on and then the shots started and one hit my partner,” he said, according to media reports.
For its part, Perú21 reports that Thalía Manrique died while being transported to Santiago Apostol Hospital for treatment.
This Sunday, his remains remained at the Bagua Grande Morgue, where officials informed the team members that they had to wait until Monday to continue the procedures, Ingrid said.

In an interview with Amazonas.com, Ingrid, a member of “Hermanos Guerrero”, spoke through tears about Thalía Manrique Castillo.
“She was a young woman who had a lot ahead of her, a lot to live for. He had great talent, he was studying, I think administratively, he was already doing his degree,” he shared.
He recalled that, in recent days, the young woman “was a little sad” and recounted that, at her “performance” in San Martín de Porres, she sang “I will always love you”, a song she composed for her late father.
Thalía, originally from Chepén in the La Libertad region, is now survived by her young son who is only nine years old.
So far, the authorities have not commented on what happened to the artist, so it is unknown if they are already looking for the criminals.
