Gusttavo Lima remains hospitalized after feeling ill and canceling a show
The compatriot Gustavo Lima remains hospitalized at Vila Nova Star hospital, in Sao Paulo, after being admitted to hospital on Saturday (21/12) due to severe abdominal pain. In a statement released on Sunday (22), the health unit reported that the singer is clinically stable and undergoing treatment, but is not yet expected to be discharged.
According to the hospital, Gusttavo Lima is being treated by a medical team led by Profa. Dr. Ludhmila Hajjar, supervised by Prof. Dr. Paulo Marcelo Gehm Hoff, Clinical Director, and Dr. Daniel Favarão Del Negro, Director. “The evolution of the condition is positive, but continuous observation is necessary to ensure complete recovery,” we read in a note.
The singer had to cancel his participation in the VillaMix Festival, which would have taken place on Saturday at the Neo Química Arena, after feeling ill in the hotel where he was staying. According to information from his consultant, Gusttavo suffered food poisoning which resulted in his emergency hospitalization.
The artist’s situation has generated concern among fans and followers, who have sent messages of support on social media. The singer’s wife, Andressa Suita, also spoke and declared that she will return to Brazil to closely follow her husband’s recovery.
