The property of a young entrepreneur in the autonomous car sector, valued at R$760 million, had up to two bunkers
The neighborhood occupied by dozens of celebrities, Pacific Palisades, in west Los Angeles, was devastated by flames. Among the mansions destroyed was that of billionaire businessman Austin Russell, 29, chief executive of automotive sensor company Luminar Technologies.
The property was the setting for scenes in the award-winning series “Succession”, about the universe of a rich and powerful family in the communications industry, available on the Max platform.
In addition to the luxurious interiors, the garden also appeared when characters Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran) and Shiv (Sarah Snook), competed to succeed their father, Logan Roy (Brian Cox).
With 6 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms, the villa had 2 panic rooms, where the owner could take refuge in the event of an invasion.
Other highlights included the wine cellar with hundreds of wines, the 20-seat theater, the kitchen designed by a famous chef and the master suite with retinal reading access and a retractable roof for observing the city sky.
Now everything is reduced to ashes and memories. Other properties used for television and film recordings were affected by the fires, as were the homes of several actors. Among them, Anthony Hopkins (“Silence of the Lambs”, “Father”), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Friends”, “Veep”) and Milo Ventimiglia (“This Is Us”, “Creed II”).
