After hiring Tiago Leifert, SBT announces the departure of narrator Luiz Alano


Professional has been at the station since 2020




SBT has promoted yet another change in its sporting structure. After the arrival of Tiago Leifert, the broadcaster announced on Monday 13th the departure of narrator Luiz Alano, who has been on the channel since 2020.

According to a statement released by SBT, the the termination of the contract occurred in a “consensual” manner, subject to agreement between the parties. The broadcaster also thanked him for “all his dedication, professionalism and commitment”.

Alano reported matches of the Champions League, Copa Sudamericana, Libertadores and Copa América for men and women, as well as friendlies. During his time working on the channel, the narrator shared the spotlight with Téo José and Cléber Machado, then main narrators and now out of SBT.

Ready for “new challenges”, Alano highlighted his departure from the front door and declared that he “wanted more” for the future of his career. He has not revealed his next projects so far.

“Today I close a very special cycle of my career. I am leaving SBT, a decision I made with a heart full of gratitude and with the certainty that it is time to seek new challenges. […] Yes, I wanted more. I always want more. This constant desire for growth and space is what drives me. And that’s why I decided to take this step. I leave from the main door, satisfied and proud to have been part of the history of Silvio Santos station, a house that I will always have in my heart,” wrote the professional.

Leifert will now be responsible for narrating the Copa Sudamericana and Champions League on SBT. The work marks the return of the affirmation to open television after three years of leaving Globo.
