Veteran of Rede Globo, the actress will be part of the project in collaboration with a Portuguese broadcaster
Actress Betty Faria is the latest addition to the cast of the “Codex 632” series. The production is a partnership between Globoplay and the Portuguese broadcaster RTP. According to information released by the newspaper O Globo, the shooting of the actress will begin on 11 August.
In the series, Betty will play a woman with the onset of Alzheimer’s that caused her husband to be killed. The character knows some compromising secrets and will be persecuted.
Based on the bestseller of the same name, written by journalist José Rodrigues dos Santos, the plot follows Tomás de Noronha, a university professor who finds himself involved in an investigation. If he goes public, he could change the collective perception of world history.
The production will have six episodes and the screenplay is in the hands of Pedro Lopes, who participated in the Portuguese titles “Glória”, “Conta-me como Foi” and “Auga Seca”. Sérgio Graciano is the producer.
