The crisis behind -Scenes of the WIM program of the band “Best of the Afternoon” has generated instability in the corridors of the station. After the departure of Catia Fonseca in June, which detected the presentation was Pâmela Lucciola, but the transition of the command was not harmonious. The accounting information for an environment marked by constant disagreements between the new presenter and director Mario Meirelles.
Catia Fonseca left the program after seven years in office, supporting difficulties with the structure and editorial freedom. Before then, her husband, Rodrigo Riccó, who had also kept the direction of the attraction, had already deactivated the role, even for internal reasons. Therefore, the double replacement has caused a reorganization that has not had the expected effects so far.
Since then, the conviviality between Pamela and Meirelles has deteriorated to the point that on one occasion the presenter was seen crying behind the scenes. Subsequently, he directly sought Johnny Saad, president of the band group, to denounce clothing on the relationship with the director and request his substitute.
On the other hand, Meirelles also expressed discontent from Pamela’s performance, criticizing his guide in front of the cameras. Internally, he would have said that “it is impossible to create a program without a presenter”. In addition, a manufacturer would have been transferred to the best of the night, presented by Otaviano Costa, by means of a decision attributed to the director, who further aggravated the environment aimed in the team.
Although the band has officially denied the friction and stated that “the information does not proceed”, the situation seems to have exceeded the field of speculation. Several relationships underline that coexistence between direction and presentation is considered unsustainable in the current format.
Parallel to the internal impasse, the station works behind the scenes in a reformulation of the attraction. The King -Launch of the best in the afternoon is scheduled for Sunday (4 August), with a new scenario, unpublished paintings and reinforcements in the cast. Participations of names such as Marchschmidt march, Felipeh Campos, Marcia and Carole Crema are confirmed. The intention is to expand the profile of the public and reposition the program on the station grid.
The renovation is seen as a final attempt to maintain the program in the air. Some leaders have even suggested the closure of the production after Catia’s departure, considering the creation of a new format. However, the decision was to bet on a new phase, even in the middle of the vortex behind the scenes.
