The day before, new fragments of the memoir of 53-year-old Matthew Perry, entitled “Friends, Lovers and Something Terrible,” hit the network. In them Perry unexpectedly spoke about his dislike to colleague Keanu Reeves, with whom, by the way, he never worked together.
The actor said that Reeves, despite his lifestyle, is alive and “still walks among us”, while his colleague in the film “My Own Private Idaho” River Phoenix passed away very young. Also in his youth, another close friend of Matthew, Heath Ledger, died.
After a mixed reaction online, the Friends star explained his remark and also admitted that he likes Reeves’ work.
In fact, I’m a big fan of Keanu, – Deadline quotes the actor. “I just chose a random name, my mistake. I am sorry. Instead, I had to use my own name.

However, the journalists of the publication, with whom Perry spoke, felt that “the argument that the name of Reeves was chosen at random seems strange.”
He is mentioned very specifically in several passages of the book as an actor who “still walks among us” even as “actors like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die,” according to the publication’s website.
They also added that Perry did not go into details.
Other excerpts from the book were previously published in which we learned that Perry and I myself was a little did not lose his life because of his bad habitswhat he spent $9 million fighting addictions and much more.
Matthew Perry’s memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing” hits bookshelves November 1st.
